Amenti is a collective originating from several generations of Hip Hop dancers. Amenti has developed a strong vision of its own idiom - this relates to their dance language and the themes they deal with, which is highly innovative within the current landscape in the Netherlands.

What makes Amenti so innovative is that they choose themes to work with that go off the beaten track within the Hip Hop culture but are always seen as necessary within the community. It goes further than we are used to, which means that Amenti contributes to the development of our genre. This is a source of inspiration for people outside our scene, but also certainly within our scene. Amenti is firmly rooted in their tradition and own language, but they do not let this slow them down; they build on it and thus manifest a new movement language and vision.

At the HipHopHuis, we set this as one of our highest goals; that the people who come to us and develop through the HipHopHuis then spread their wings and build on what we have learned and developed within our house. We wish this for all our talents; Gil was once one of them!

Amenti's vision ensures extraordinary and innovative work in their productions and collaborations - where that vision always remains intact. Amenti's signature is apparent every time, without becoming a repetition.
